Mulberry Haircut

Each summer we have to manicure our mulberry tree in the yard. We spent hours last night trimming it into a topiary mushroom! When it isn't wild and unruly, it adds charm to our front yard.

Engagement Party

Last night, we celebrated Brooke and Tony's engagement at the Elyria Country Club. It was a lovely evening. The drink of the night was the country club's specialty, the Moscow Mule. It is vodka and ginger beer served in a copper cup-quite refreshing during our current heat wave.

Oh My

Even I think this is a little too much. I got to work a few weeks ago and saw this bad boy in the parking lot. One of my co-workers actually rides this to work. I love hello kitty, but I don't think I could drive this around town.

BBQ

On Saturday, we had a little barbeque after touring the lower level of the Detroit Superior Bridge. Sorry, I do not have pictures from that event! But it was super cool and we're going back with the camera in August. Mama, Billy, Theresa and Klunky all stopped in for a bratwurst from the West Side Market, Theresa's famous deviled eggs, Klunky's delicious pasta salad, watermelon and a fabulous blueberry dessert made by TK. Too much was eaten by all, as you can see from the pictures. The cat charmer was brought out and Theresa attempted to charm Muffin.
